Vulnerability Assessment of Selected Watersheds and Coastal Areas in the Philippines to Climate Change

The Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB) of the DENR is conducting a “Vulnerability Assessment of Selected Watersheds and Coastal Areas in the Philippines to Climate Change”. The duration of the project is from January 2011 – December 2013

Assessing the ecosystem’s vulnerability to hazards due to climate change forms an important decision tool towards better management of natural resources as well as minimized risk to environmental disasters.

The expected outputs of this project are: 1) Vulnerability assessment document and maps of watersheds and coastal zones (ridge to reefs) identifying vulnerable areas needing some interventions; and 2) Mitigation measures to lessen / minimize the impact of identified hazards.
