|Adaptation to Climate Change in Coastal Areas|
ACCCoast (Adaptation to Climate Change in Coastal Areas) is a Project that is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) under its International Climate Initiative. The duration of the project is from January 2011 - June 2014.
The Project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Marine Protected Areas’ (MPAs) governance by supporting the implementation of the Philippine contribution to the Coral Triangle Initiative as delineated in the Philippine National Plan of Action (PNPoA).
ACCCoast supports the coordination of the development of national climate change adaptation strategies and the implementation of selected measures to protect and increase the resiliency of the coastal environment and communities.
